How it all began...
Two Fat Guys Bar B Q was established in 2005 after the owner Dale Foraker
was laid off from a long time career. Dale always having a passion for
barbecue and perfecting his recipe for years in the backyard decided it
was time to share his passion of barbecue with others. Teaming up with
his brother Bill, the two created Two Fat Guys Bar B Q. Now if you are
from the Stark County Area (Ohio), you know that at the end of July every
year comes the Pro Football Hall Of Fame Enshrinement Festival Ribs Burn
Off. Dale after attending this for years with his family always wanted
to participate at this event. His dream was to win an award in his hometown
one day, and to let people from the area try his great barbecue. So after
much research and finding shows around Ohio and surrounding states the
2005 season kicked off. 2005 was a learning curve, but we made it having
a successful season. 2006 came and it was another successful season. 2007
came and after the first few shows to get in the groove it was time to
start building on our appearance and our food. So after some upgrades
2007 went extremely well and it was decided that 2008 was going to be
the year for Two Fat Guys Bar B Q! Andy (Now Dale's Son in Law) came on
in 2007 and got his feet wet.

After the season Andy got with Dale and they created what they had hoped
to be a successful plan for 2008. They came up with bigger and better
shows, more appealing signs, better cooking techniques, and more efficient
ways to operate. It was about time to begin the 2008 season and Two Fat
Guys Bar B Q was ready to go. So the 2008 season began and everything
came into place. In the previous three years though successful, Two Fat
Guys didn't win any awards for their barbecue. Well 2008 turned out to
be the year of The Fat Guys. Their first ever award came in Fort Wayne
Indiana for their Ribs. Little did Two Fat Guys know while making a few
modifications to their sauce in Fort Wayne, that those modifications were
about to pay off. The rest of 2008 the Fat Guys won a total of 12 awards.
Many of those awards were for the sauce that they modified in Fort Wayne.
One in particular was especially important. On came The Hall of Fame Ribs
Burn Off. It came time to announce the winners. Two Fat Guys Bar B Q had
won Best Sauce. Dale had finally gotten that award he had longed for after
attending the event for many years and participating for the last three!
The 2008 season went great and came to an end in September It was Two
Fat Guys most successful season ever. Andy and Dale immediately began
gearing up for 2009 to make it even better than 2008. So come out and
see us at your local Ribs Fest this year and give us a try! We are going
to be even bigger and better in 2009!
